Tour cancellations due to bad weather conditions are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.

According to the latest policy updates from the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco (DDC), all entrance tickets to Machu Picchu are personal. Therefore, tickets purchased for Machu Picchu are non-reschedulable, non-transferable to another date and/or person, and non-refundable.

The train company that takes you to Machu Picchu does not allow luggage over 5 kg. You can leave larger bags at your hotel in Cusco at no extra cost.

Train seats are automatically assigned by the systems of Peru Rail and Inca Rail. Seat selection is not available.

We recommend taking the Expedition or Voyager train on the way to Machu Picchu, and the Vistadome or 360° panoramic train on the return trip.

The Yellow Fever vaccine is not mandatory but is recommended for trips to the Peruvian Amazon region.

Travel insurance is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended for all travelers to Peru.

The standard voltage in Peru is 230V. Some hotels may offer 110V with converters available upon request.

Both US dollars and Peruvian soles are widely accepted. Exchange your money at trusted currency exchange houses in Peru.

There are two main seasons: rainy (Nov–Mar) and dry (Apr–Oct). Cusco can drop to 0°C and rise to 24°C; Lima ranges between 12°C and 35°C.
