Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, a representative will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel, assist with your check-in, and provide a brief orientation about the city’s highlights and services.

PM (1:00 pm – 6:00 pm approx.): In the afternoon, you’ll begin a guided tour of the city, visiting key historical sites such as the Cusco Cathedral and the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), now the Convent of Santo Domingo.

The tour then continues to the outskirts of the city, where you’ll explore:

  • Sacsayhuaman: An impressive fortress known as the «head of the puma.»
  • Q’enqo: A religious site dedicated to the Earth with labyrinthine passages.
  • Puca Pucara: A reddish military checkpoint from the Inca period.
  • Tambomachay: The «Temple of Water,» used for ceremonial purposes.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

At around 8:00 am, passengers will be picked up from their hotel to begin a full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

The tour includes a visit to the town of Pisac, known for its colorful handicraft market and Inca archaeological site, which features an advanced irrigation system, astronomical observatory, sun clock (Intiwatana), and agricultural terraces.

You will enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey.

The next stop is the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, a fortified Inca site that includes temples, agricultural terraces, and a well-planned urban sector. The site was both a religious center and a military stronghold, as evidenced by its walls and towers.

Finally, you’ll visit Chinchero, known for its colonial church adorned with beautiful Cusqueña school paintings. On Sundays, a traditional fair is held where locals trade goods using the barter system.

Return to Cusco and overnight stay.

Morning train to Machu Picchu Pueblo followed by a guided tour of Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas” and one of the most impressive ancient sites in the world. Overlooking the Urubamba River, this 15th-century citadel was built at the height of the Inca Empire.

Although American historian Hiram Bingham revealed this site to the world in 1911, locals had long known of its existence. The original purpose of the site remains a mystery, as the Incas left no written records. Explore the ruins with your expert local guide and imagine what life may have been like in this majestic city nestled at about 8,000 feet above sea level.

In the afternoon, return by train to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.

5:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Cusco to begin the excursion southeast of Cusco passing through Cusipata (3,339 m.a.s.l.) until reaching the small village of Llactoc, where you will see herds of alpacas and llamas and typical local flora. Here, the hike begins, lasting approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Along the way, enjoy distant views of snow-capped mountains and magnificent landscapes. Finally, arrive at Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). After spending about 1 hour at the summit, start the descent which takes about 1½ hours until returning to Llactoc. Then take transportation back to Cusipata for a traditional lunch. Afterwards, return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 PM.
